Check in: Players may arrive up to 1 hour prior to their tryout, no earlier.
Tryout Process: Players will arrive at tryouts, check in, receive a t-shirt and will be placed into warmup groups based upon arrival time. Once groups are stretched out, they will be ran through testing with our Sports Performance staff.
After all players have been tested, they will be ran through a ball control partner warm up and then will be separated by positions (13 and under players will go through all positions).
Once in positions, players will be individually evaluated within their position first and then positions will combine before we move to game play.
Each position and group have their own evaluators who are breaking down all skills pertaining to their specific positions.
**Players who register for National team tryouts but are not placed and choose to also tryout for our Regional and State teams will be subject to a $25 re-evaluation fee.**
Offer and Commitment Process: We will begin offering players immediately after tryouts, but have to work through positions, teams, etc. Typically it takes 3-5 days for all our offers to be handed out and we ask that you give us 1 week to work through this whole process This is a fluid process and we ask for your patience during this time.
Players will have 24 hours to accept their position, pay their deposit and sign their L2 contract.
What position do I select?
If your player is 14U and above, they will be asked what position they want to be evaluated in. Players will start off tryouts with their specific position and be evaluated with other players of the same position.

National teams:
This is the highest level of competitiveness and the largest commitment of time, practice, and travel that we offer. Travel will include 2 and 3-day events that take teams outside of the state. We plan to have 1-3 National teams at each age group but will only build as many National-level teams as we have enough players who fit the level required to play at the National level.
Training: National teams train a minimum of 5 hours a week, including 1 hour of on-court speed/agility training and positional training each week.
Schedule: All of our L2 National teams will follow a schedule that includes travel outside the state and attend at least 1 USAV Qualifier. Teams will play in the divisions that we see fit for each specific team. This schedule is tentative and subject to change.
Season Length: The season begins the first week of December and could extend through the beginning of July, depending on qualifying for USAV nationals.
Uniform Package: We are excited to announce that we are continuing to use Ren Athletics for our uniform package. This package is a separate fee from our club fees.
College Recruiting: Athletes interested in playing in college will have access to our Recruiting Coordinator, Eric Lindstrom. Eric brings 16 years of college coaching/recruiting experience and 26+ years of club college recruiting assistance. Players can schedule free 30-minute sessions throughout the year to organize a recruiting plan, gain knowledge about colleges/coaches, and promote athletes. Players will also have access to a Sports Recruits profile at no additional cost.
Regional Teams:
These teams are our second highest level of competitiveness and time commitment that we offer. Most players at this level have 1-2 years of prior club experience (if not more). We plan to have 2- 3 Regional teams at each age group, this will be determined by the level of players who attend tryouts and their willingness to travel.
Training: Regional teams train a minimum of 4 hours a week, including 1 hour of positional training with a National lead coach.
Schedule: All of our L2 Regional teams will follow a schedule that includes travel outside the state. Regional teams primarily travel within the state, but may have a tournament or two in Ohio, Indiana, or Illinois. Teams will play in the divisions that we see fit for each specific team. This schedule is tentative and subject to change.
Season Length: The season begins mid-December and ends at the beginning of June.

State Teams
This is our 3rd level of competitiveness and time commitment that we offer. Some players may be in their 1st or 2nd season of club and is a great entry level to players who are new to club volleyball. We plan to have 2-3 State teams at each age group, but this will be determined by the level of players who attend tryouts and their willingness to travel. This is the perfect level for the player who is transitioning from Rec volleyball and wanting to play more competitively.
Training: State teams train a minimum of 4 hours a week, including 1 hour of positional training with a National lead coach.
Schedule: All of our L2 State teams will follow a schedule that includes travel inside the state only. Teams will play in multiple 1 day events and a few 2 day events.
Season Length: The season begins mid-December and ends at the beginning of June.
Uniform Package: We are excited to announce that we are continuing to use Ren Athletics for our uniform package. This package is a separate fee from our club fees.
