House Team

House teams offer a team-play option for athletes in grades 3-11. House teams are not recreation-level teams. House teams play at home at Legacy (with some local travel). House teams are a great option for
multi-sport athletes who need to play locally so they can fulfill commitments to other obligations. House teams practice twice a week and play 40-50 games between December and June. No games during the fall. September through November are pre-season months dedicated to conditioning, player and team development. We host one tryout for the year in August with a couple of supplemental tryouts to fill roster spots if needed. Supplemental tryouts are not guaranteed.

Welcome to the Legacy Basketball Club. We offer two team options to match your athlete's competitive profile and need for flexibility: House and Travel. Some athletes and their families want a club that travels little and offers flexibility for other activities. Others want a more intense commitment, enjoy using sport to travel, and want to compete against teams from other states. Whatever your choice, we have you covered.

Our commitment is simple: we are prioritizing your athlete's long-term development over short-term wins and losses.

By transitioning to year-round programming, we are dedicating more time to skill development, basketball IQ, team concepts, and intentional practice. We believe meaningful growth happens in the gym between games, and we want families to value practice time just as much as game time.

The 10-month commitment is broken into three seasons: Fall (Oct-Nov), Winter (Dec-Feb), and Spring (April-June).

Keeping our teams together throughout the year allows athletes, coaches, and families to build stronger relationships, establish trust, and create the continuity necessary for sustained improvement. Rather than starting over each season with new rosters and new systems, our athletes will develop alongside teammates and coaches who know their strengths, challenge them appropriately, and invest in their success.

We also want our athletes to embrace competitive basketball. They should look forward to playing in challenging, high-intensity environments that push them to improve and prepare them for the next level.

Is Legacy more expensive? Yes. Will Legacy deliver greater value? Absolutely.

Our investment is in more than games. It is in expert coaching, purposeful practices, consistent player development, meaningful relationships, and a year-round environment designed to help every athlete reach their potential.

We are committed to building stronger basketball players, more competitive teams, and, most importantly, confident, resilient young people.

We prefer athletes who can commit for the entire year but are open to those who can compete seasonally.

Elementary: 4th-6th House teams only
Middle School: 7th-8th House and Travel teams (Jr 3SSB Circuit)
High School: 9th-11th House and Travel teams (Prep Hoops Circuit)

Travel Team

Legacy Travel Teams are our most competitive level of team play. 7th and 8th-grade teams that travel will participate in the Jr-3Stripes Basketball (3SSB) circuit. Legacy High School travelteams will participate in the Preps Hoops Circuit. Legacy Travel (7th & 8th grade) teams will compete mostly in league play (with some tournament play) during the winter and 8-10 tournaments during the spring and summer. Travel teams practice twice a week. No games during the fall. September through November are pre-season months dedicated to performance training, player and team development for 7th & 8th grade teams only.

High school travel teams form in March, begin competing in April, and finish in July.

Jr-3SSB serves as the premier grassroots platform for adidas Basketball, designed for student-athletes seeking to play at the varsity and college levels.

The Prep Hoops Circuit is an independent grassroots basketball circuit that provides visibility and enables independent programs to compete against top teams nationwide. The Prep Hoops Circuit has sent over 2,500 athletes to college basketball programs at all levels, making it a significant platform for grassroots basketball development.
