PRIVATE TRAINING WITH Alicia mobley
Coach Mobley will advise the athlete on technique issues and body movement patterns that will increase the pitcher's success. Focus areas: velocity, location, spin and Pitcher IQ. It is advised that all of Alicia Mobley's students sign up for the Pitching Academies we offer at Legacy to best gain muscle memory. At the Academy - Strength and Endurance will be increased gradually to prepare best for season. Arm care and Softball IQ (understanding the hitter) is of high priority as an instructor.

PRIVATE TRAINING WITH ANISSA URTEZ
Anissa, a retired professional and Olympic softball player, provides personalized hitting instruction tailored to each athlete’s unique skill level and learning style. She meets players where they are, using specific feedback and terminology that resonate with the individual. While Anissa doesn’t believe in one single swing type, she emphasizes strong foundational mechanics, proper separation, and a mindset focused on getting 1% better each session. Every lesson is designed to ensure athletes leave with something new to work on and a clearer path toward progress.

Private Lessons with Cece Thorington Cece Thorington is a legacy Mojo alum and University of Michigan Softball athlete specializing in hitting and slapping. Known for her offensive versatility and competitive edge, Cece brings high-level experience, attention to detail, and a player-first approach to skill development.

Private Lessons with Lauren Putz
Lauren Putz is a standout hitter and outfielder for the University of Michigan Softball program. A Phoenix, Arizona native, Lauren earned D1Softball Freshman All-American honors in 2025 before being named a unanimous All-Big Ten First Team selection and NFCA Second Team All-American in 2026. Known for her powerful bat and competitive approach at the plate, Lauren has quickly become one of the top offensive players in the Big Ten. She is excited to share her knowledge and passion for the game through private hitting lessons at Legacy Center.

LEGACY PITCHING ACADEMY
This academy was designed by Alicia Mobley, who pitched in college and have instructed and coached numerous collegiate softball pitchers. Focus areas covered in the academies include body sequencing, internal rotation, spin direction, and weight transfer. Each class, your player will warm up with several drills that develop cardio, movement patterns, and flexibility. Coach Mobley will select drills that target the legs, shoulders, core, release-to-location, and velocity. We are excited to help your player get solid off-season work with us. Sessions in March-July will be 90 minutes long. Packed with great experiences both with technology and spin focus to help with throwing strikes and increasing and changing speeds.
Advanced Summer Defense Academy

Legacy's Pitching, Catching and Hitting Camp: Led By College Softball Players

Legacy’s Pitching, Catching, and Hitting Camp is a 3-hour immersive experience designed for younger softball players to learn directly from current college athletes. Led by current Alabama Softball pitcher, Kaitlyn Pallozzi and current Michigan Softball player, Lilly Vallimont leading stations, campers will be taught the tools, skills, and habits these athletes have developed at their respective programs. This camp is all about learning, confidence-building, and getting inspired by players who are living the college softball journey.
d1 Showcase
Legacy’s first-ever D1 Softball Showcase brings an elite recruiting opportunity directly to the Michigan softball community. Athletes will showcase their skills in front of a full lineup of Division I college coaches through four sessions: pitching and catching, hitting, defense (each 1.5 hours), and two hours of live scrimmages, with D1 coaches in attendance all day. This elite-level event is designed to mirror the intensity, pace, and atmosphere of top showcases nationwide right in your own backyard.
d2 - NAIA Showcase
Legacy’s first-ever D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO Softball Showcase brings a premier recruiting opportunity to the Michigan softball community. Athletes will showcase their skills through four sessions: pitching and catching, hitting, defense (each 1.5 hours), and two hours of live scrimmages, with college coaches in attendance all day. This event is designed to create a competitive, high-level atmosphere that provides meaningful exposure and a true recruiting experience close to home.
Jen Schro Catchers Camp
We’re excited to share that Jen Schroeder, the #1 catching instructor in the game, is coming to Legacy Center Sports Complex on August 12-13, 2026.
This is a rare opportunity to train inside the Jen Schro Catching system—where athletes don’t just develop skills, they build confidence, leadership, and presence behind the plate. This event will be a Two-Day Training Experience.
Two-Day Experience
An immersive format that allows athletes to build, apply, and reinforce skills over two days. This includes extended reps, deeper coaching, and a stronger focus on development, leadership, and mindset.
Athletes can expect:
- Small group training (6:1 athlete-to-coach ratio)
- Position-specific instruction for catchers
- Game-speed reps and competitive training
- Leadership, communication, and mindset development

University of Michigan Camp - November 29th - 2-6pm
Wolverine Weekend: $125
This Thanksgiving weekend, step onto the field with current University of Michigan athletes and take your game to the next level!
Open to all ages and positions, this camp gives athletes the rare opportunity to learn directly from players at one of the most historically successful programs in college softball - a program that continues to set the standard for female sports.
Athletes will:
● Work on fundamentals and advanced skills in hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching
● Gain insight from current Michigan players about training, mindset, and competing at the highest level
● Receive hands-on instruction in small-group, fast-paced stations
● Build confidence, learn new techniques, and get inspired to push their own game

THE LEGACY HOLIDAY CLASSIC with Olympian/Pro Shortstop, Anissa Urtez and Special College Guests

This December, join Olympian & Pro Softball Player Anissa Urtez and a lineup of special guest athletes for a one-of-a-kind holiday camp at Legacy Center Sports Complex. This fast-paced, high-energy event features hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching instruction led by elite players and coaches. Athletes will rotate through stations, experience a variety of drills, and learn from college athletes and pros who have competed at the highest levels of the game. The Legacy Holiday Classic is designed to inspire and challenge, giving players the chance to:
● Build stronger fundamentals at every position - from the batter’s box to the infield to the circle and behind the plate
● Learn from high-level athletes through skill sessions and classroom talks
● Compete in a supportive environment that emphasizes confidence and growth
● Connect with role models who know what it takes to play at the next level
With giveaways, classroom sessions, and special guest coaches, this camp is more than training - it’s an experience to fuel dreams, build confidence, and celebrate the game.
YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES
6-Week Beginner Skill Builder Program (Train & Play)

Designed for young softball players who are just starting their journey in the game. This program focuses on learning the basics in a fun, low-pressure environment so players can build confidence without feeling overwhelmed. Each session is split into 30 minutes of foundational skill work like throwing, catching, and hitting followed by 30 minutes of guided, game-style play to help athletes understand how the game works. Players will be grouped into two age divisions (4–6 and 7–10) to ensure age-appropriate instruction and development. There is no scorekeeping. Just lots of learning, movement, and fun with teammates. Parents are encouraged to be hands-on and involved, helping create a positive and supportive first experience in softball.
Free August Beginner Summer Camp Info (Date TBD):
Join Olympian Anissa Urtez for a FREE beginner softball pop-up camp designed for girls ages 4–8 who are new to the game or just getting started. This one-hour camp is all about FUN, confidence, and learning the basics of softball in a positive and welcoming environment. Players will rotate through simple stations like throwing, hitting, running the bases, and movement designed to keep kids engaged, active, and smiling. This is the perfect first step for any young girl who’s curious about softball but may feel nervous trying something new. Our goal is to help them build confidence, feel capable, and realize it’s brave to try something new.
